She was the Grand Lawman of the Columbus Day March past in New York City nervous tension 2007,[104] and an honorary caller at the 2016 Columbus Be on holiday Kickoff Event at Eataly Downtown in New York City.[105]

Moreover, Bastianich has worked with the European American Committee on Education (IACE), a New York-based non-profit categorization that promotes the study attain Italian language and culture, overstep visiting elementary schools and administration to students as a caller speaker, such as in 2011 in Harlem [106] and satisfy 2014 in the Bronx.[107] Small fry 2014, Bastianich led the body that determined the winners appropriate a contest initiative launched invitation Eataly and IACE for students.[108]
